SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Eleven Daesh rebels and four policemen have been killed and three others injured during a clash in the Darz Ab district of northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Friday.
Police Chief Brig. Gen. Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban launched attacks on security forces check-posts in the district on Thursday night and continued until 5:00am in the morning.
Six Daesh rebels also injured in the fire fight which came to an end after reinforcement arrived in the area.
Provincial Council Member Haleema Sadaf said the residents of Darz Ab have been in deep troubles due to ongoing conflict.
Daesh rebels new attacks launch at times when officials recently claimed that Daesh had been suppressed in the area.
Jawzjani, however, said Daesh was unable to face security forces in the battlefield.
