KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Twenty-four Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel have been killed in a Taliban attack in the Qala-i-Zal district of northern Kunduz province, officials said on Saturday.
Aminullah Adeen, a member of provincial council, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants stormed security check-posts in the Kolokh Tepa area of the district late on Friday night.
He said 24 ALP officials were killed and several weapons and ammunition taken away by insurgents.
