Ghazni roadside bombing leaves 6 dead, 3 wounded

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): At least six civilians were killed and three others wounded in a landmine explosion in the Jaghato district of southern Ghazni province on Monday.

Mohammad Arif Noori, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place in the Qiaq area of the district at around 10am.

He said six people were killed and three others wounded after the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in the area.

Meanwhile, Civil Hospital Director Baz Mohammad Himmat confirmed receiving six dead and three injured people from the site of the explosion. The injured are said to be in critical condition.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bomb attack.
