GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The governor of southern Ghazni province on Sunday asked tribal elders to enter talks with the Taliban on ending the conflict.
Waheedullah Kalimzai told a gathering bringing together tribal elders, religious scholars, government officials and common people here that the government was fully prepared to kick-start peace talks with the Taliban.
He urged tribal elders to play their part in convincing the rebels to reconcile with the government which by extending the truce showed it was enthusiastic to negotiate peace.
