PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Despite Pakistan’s decision on scrapping the regulatory duty, imports from Afghans continue to be taxed at the Torkham border, a business leader says.
Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Zahidullah Shinwari called the collection of the regulatory duty on imports an illegal act.
During a meeting with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Pasha at the Chamber’s House in Peshawar on Wednesday, he demanded the removal of 2 per cent additional customs duty on imports.
