HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Nine Taliban and two civilians have been killed in a clash and landmine blast in western Herat province, an official said on Friday.
Governor Spokesman Jilani Farhad told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban on Thursday night stormed security forces check-post in the Koban locality of Awba district but security forces resisted the insurgent attack.
Nine Taliban had been killed and six others injured in the hours-long clash. Two policemen also injured in the firefight.
