<p>PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): After the foot walks from Helmand province and neighboring <a href="/en/pakistan" class="glossify-link">Pakistan</a> on Saturday.</p>
<p>The peace marchers from southern Helmand reached Kabul in 35 days after walking for hundreds of kilometers and another group from eastern Kuanr is on its way to Kabul.</p>
<p>The ten-member group started their journey from Pul-i-Khumri, Baghlan’s capital, carrying banners inscribed with pro-peace slogns.</p>
<p>The activists said they would try to reach the Presidential Palace and urge President Ashraf Ghani to launch peace talks with the <a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a> as soon as possible.</p>
<p>Mohammad Ismail, one of the walk organizers, told Pajhwok Afghan News that their only aim was demanding peace. He said they had consulted no party to the conflict before embarking on the journey.</p>
