ASADABAD (Pajhwok): A rocket fired by insurgents wounded two people including a policeman in Asadabad, the capital city of eastern Kunar province, on Thursday, an official said.
The mortar shell landed near a river close to the city, provincial police spokesman Farid Dehqan told Pajhwok Afghan News on Thursday morning.
He said a policeman and a civilian were wounded in the incident. The insurgents have not yet commented on the attack, which came a day after a rocket landed inside the governor’s office.
