KABUL has evinced an interest in importing quality products, including pharmaceuticals, garments and consumer goods, from Bangladesh.

Afghanistan’s new ambassador in Dhaka also called for expanding bilateral relations, especially trade linkages, between the two countries, Bangladeshi media reported.

On Wednesday, Ambassador Abdul Qayoom Malikzad paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam.

The state minister expressed Bangladesh’s willingness to be a trusted development partner of Afghanistan, Daily Star reported.

Alam welcomed the diplomat and assured him of all possible support to further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
