Protect civilians, UN again asks warring parties

· 1 min read · 246 views

KABUL (UNAMA) on Wednesday stresses all parties to the conflict must at all times uphold their obligations to protect civilians.

The UN mission renewed its call for an immediate end to targeting civilians and civilian objects, including schools and health facilities, in compliance with international humanitarian law.

While denouncing Tuesday’s attack in Jalalabad that killed at least 13 civilians and injured 20 others, UNAMA expressed its outrage at the recent pattern of attacks targeting civilians.
