JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Four alleged Al Qaeda operatives including a key figure, have been arrested by special intelligence forces during an operation in the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.
The operation was carried out in Malang Jan area in the limits of the first police district of Jalalabad last night, the governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the detainees included a key Al Qaeda member Rahmatullah. The detainees were involved in anti-state activities in Jalalabad and other parts of the province.
