JALALABAD (Pajhwok): One person was killed and five others wounded after a protest against a provincial council member turned violent in the capital of neighboring Laghman province on Thursday.
The protestors emerged from Tergari area of Mehtarlam city and arrived in front of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) office this morning.
They claimed the bodyguards of a provincial council member, Abdul Aziz, beat a person named Dr. Jawad in Tergari area on Tuesday.
