PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Three civilians have been killed as a result of rocket attack fired by Taliban insurgents in Mohammad Agha district of central Logar province, an official said on Thursday.
Police spokesman Shapoor Ahmadzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the limits of Kabul-Logar highway on Wednesday evening.
The militants fired the rocket to target a police pick-up but it hit a civilian vehicle, he said, adding three of a family traveling in the vehicle were killed and two others wounded in the incident.
The injured had been evacuated to hospital by policemen. Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
