Blast in Herat City leaves 3 people dead, 11 injured

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three people were killed and 11 others injured in a blast in western Herat province late on Thursday, an official said.

Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast happened at around 6:00pm in the limits of 8th police district in Herat City, the provincial capital.

Amir Shindand, former commander of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) is among the injured, he said.
