Takhar governor’s spokesman and police earlier in the day said a Tajik or Russian aircraft killed six Taliban insurgents who were smuggling drugs in Durqad border district.
Some reports said Russian aircrafts also took part in the bombardment.
However, the Russian media quoted the country’s defense ministry as saying that no Russian aircraft had taken part in the airstrike on the Afghanistan territory.
