KABUL would continue to protect their peaceful co-existence and mutual acceptance in the face of enemy’s designs.
Addressing an academic conference on the philosophy of Abu Rayhan Al-Biruni, the president said terrorists and their supporters should know they could never harm the unity and brotherhood of the people of Afghanistan with their brutal and criminal acts.
Twenty-six people including two journalists were killed and 91 others wounded in Wednesday’s attack. The first blast occurred when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the gym at a wrestling event.
The president offered his deep condolences to the families of the victims and wished early recovery for those wounded in the terrorist attack.
Referring to the philosophy of Al Biruni, President Ghani said Al-Biruni learned Sanskrit language and designed the connectivity between Afghanistan and South Asia.
The president said Al-Biruni was an experienced and talented philosopher and the Afghan youth should adopt his multi-dimensional thinking.
Ghani urged the youth to deeply study the personality of Al Biruni and see on what dimensions he worked and by knowing this, the youth could connect the past with the present.
He said the best example of his philosophy was the civilization of regional connectivity which remained a strong and global message for the generations to come.
He said Afghanistan and Uzbekistan jointly held the seminar remembering Al Biruni and in the near future another conference on the philosophy of Goharshad Begum would be held in Uzbekistan.
