KABUL member from northwestern Badghis province on Wednesday reached the parliament building paddling his bicycle.
The MP, Syed Mohammad Musa Janab, told Pajhwok Afghan News that he wanted his colleagues to copy him and move around like a common man and stop creating problems for people by blocking roads.
“I have many vehicles, sometimes I come to the parliament in taxi. I never keep bodyguards while in Kabul.”
Security guards provided to the lawmaker by the government are performing duty in Badghis province where security issues exist.
Janab is seeking his reelection. When asked if he wanted to impress people by using bicycle, the MP said he needed no campaign.
He said he belonged to a spiritual family in Badghis and there were many people to do election campaign for him.
