AIBAK (Pajhwok): Seven Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel have been killed and 17 others injured as a result of the Taliban attack in the Dara-i-Suf Paen district of northern Samangan province, an official said.
District chief Abdul Yaqin Ahmadi confirmed the attack and added four Taliban were also killed in the overnight attack and their bodies remained on the battlefield.
An injured ALP commander told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban stormed three security forces check-posts at around 9:00 pm in the Daikundi village.
He added the Taliban penetrated into the village and the firefight between the two sides continued until 3:30 pm.
It is worth mentioning that out of 70 villages in Dar-i-Suf Paen, 10 were controlled by the Taliban.
