KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday sacked Din Mohammad Jurat as his senior advisor and deputy of the National Security Council (NSC), an official said.
An official at the Presidential Palace, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the president’s order in this regard was released today.
A copy of the order obtained by Pajhwok read. “I approve sacking of Din Mohammad Jurat, senior presidential advisor and deputy of the NSC, under clause 13th article 64th of the Constitution.”
Jurat was appointed to the position in November last year.
Few months back, Afghan intelligence forces discovered some weapons and suspected people from Jurat’s office in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province.
Also head of Jihad wa Muqawmat party, Din Mohammad is facing serious criticism from public after the National Directorate of Security forces’ raid on his office in Jalalabad.
However, Jurat has rejected the NDS claims.
