KABUL election have reached the peak as all related electoral materials have reached provinces and 54,000 troops have been tasked with ensuring security on the polling day, officials said on Thursday.
Addressing reporters here, Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said intelligence and detective personnel had been directed to be on high alert on the Election Day (Oct 20.)
He said 54,000 defense and security personnel were being deployed for election security.
