MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Friday arrived in this capital city of northern Balkh province to assess the security situation and inaugurate a 360-bed hospital.
Accompanied by a high level delegation, the president is expected to inaugurate the mother-child hospital and meet local people during his two-day visit, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
Ghani will be meeting civil and military officials, women activists, provincial council members, district chiefs, intelligence officials, industrialists, traders and religious scholars, the statement said.
