1 Czech soldier killed, 2 wounded in insider attack

KABUL says.

The victim was from the Czech Republic, a statement from the Czech military said, though the NATO-led mission did not name the casualty.

"Initial reports indicate the attack was committed by a member of the Afghan security forces,” the resolute support mission said in a brief statement.

"Further details will be shared after the appropriate national authorities have followed their processes for releasing information," the statement added.

The wounded soldiers were evacuated to the Bagram military hospital, according to the Czech defence ministry, which said the injured were in stable condition.
