Toofan beat Shaheen 1-0 in APL final

KABUL (Pajhwok): Toofan Harirod, representing the western zone of the country beat Shaheen Asmayee team which represents the central zone by one goal in the final match of the Afghan Premier League (APL) here on Thursday night.

No team managed to score a goal in the 90 minutes but it was Toofan’s Rauf Qaderi who scored the goal in the 100th minute of the match and earned his team the final trophy.

Hundreds of supporters from different parts of the country were present in the stadium to support their teams and added to the excitement of the game.

The two teams had many opportunities to score a goal but it was Toofan’s Rauf Qaderi who scored the only goal of the match.

It was the second final won by Toofan Harirod the team won its first APL final five years back.

Chief Executive Officer Abdullah, other high ranking government officials, football federation officials, cricket board officials, Rahmani Foundation Head Ajmal Rahmani and other officials were present who later distributed medals to the players and trophy to the winning side.
