TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A former Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander, Hakeem Shujai, has been wounded and his deputy was among 20 others killed during a clash in central Uruzgan province, local security officials said on Monday.
The security officials told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred in Hussani village of Khas Uruzgan district on Sunday.
A tribal elder, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok the clash erupted over a woman, who had eloped from Gondalan village to Hussani village and tribal elders wanted to take her back.
