<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): Six people were killed and eight others wounded after a suicide bomber target a vehicle carrying employees of Pul-i-Charkhi prison on Wednesday morning, an official said.</p>
<p>Basir Mujahid, spokesman for Kabul police, told Pajhwok Afghan News the suicide attack happened on a vehicle in front of the main gate of Pul-i-Charkhi prison at around 7:30 am.</p>
<p>He said six people were killed, including three security forces, and eight others wounded. Three children were among the injured.</p>
<p>Abadullah Razeen, an official of the Ministry of Interior, said the bomber was recognized by police before he could penetrate the prison and reach to his target.</p>
<p>He confirmed six people were killed after the bomber detonated explosives attached to his body.</p>
<p>Mohammad Anees, an eyewitness, said the powerful explosion happened in front of the prision’s gate where a number of visitors were waiting to pass a rigorous security check before entering.</p>
<p>Without giving the exact figures, he said large number of people suffered casualties in the suicide attack.</p>
