KABUL have asked the Afghan government to give the body of Gen. Abdul Raziq’s killer to his family in return for the bodies of a helicopter crash in western Farah province.
The Taliban in a statement on Friday said their fighters shot down the military helicopter in Jamal Ghazi area between Farah and neighboring Herat province two days ago, killing 25 people, including a military general.
The rebels said 27 people had been killed in the incident and their bodies were in their possession.
