FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Eight policemen and seven Taliban have been killed during a clash and drone strike in western Farah province, a local representative said on Friday.
Haji Khair Mohammad, deputy head of the Provincial Council, the Taliban attacked Farah City, the provincial capital, from four sides on Thursday night.
The assailant captured a police check post killing eight policemen and planned to overrun the Farah City.
Separately, seven insurgents were killed in a drone strike in the Shaikhabad locality in the limits of first police district, he said. The drone strike targeted a Saracha type vehicle.
Provincial officials could not be reached for comments over the last night Taliban attack.
