The officials also said two children, who moved to an insurgent hideout, were also killed in the airstrike in Kapisa.

Maj. Mohammad Haroon Yousufzai, spokesman for the Afghan army’s 201 Selab Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News that foreign forces targeted a Taliban hideout in Slingar area of Alishing district of Laghman province on Sunday.

He said a local Taliban commander, Abdul Jabbar, and five other insurgents were killed in the airstrike and some of the rebels’ weapons and ammunition destroyed.

The military corps said three militants and two children were killed during an airstrike in Kapisa province.

Yousufzai said the airstrike was carried out on militant hideouts in Shatori and Toot areas of Tagab district of Kapisa.
