KABUL (Pajhwok): Eleven people were wounded when a car-bomb exploded outside a foreigners’ camp in capital Kabul on Wednesday evening, an official said.
Waheed Majroh, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), told Pajhwok Afghan News the injured people had been evacuated to different hospitals in Kabul.
Police spokesman Basir Mujahid said the car-bombing took place on a contractors’ security camp in the limits of ninth police district near the Industrial Park area.
The identity of injured could not be ascertained so far, he said.
Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, confirmed the blast which took place at around 6:40pm. He said the target was a foreigner’s camp near the police training centre in the area.
According to another source, the blast paved the way for armed men to attack a foreigner’s guest house in Sarak-i-Naw locality.
The source added a suicide bomber entered the facility and a gun-battle ensued.
