KABUL’s Resolute Support Mission Commander Gen. Miller has asked the US Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to conduct an investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the death of the shooter, according to a statement on Tuesday.
“The incident remains under investigation. CID will investigate to determine whether any potential misconduct occurred, and we will hold individuals accountable, as appropriate,” the statement said.
“Resolute Support and U.S. Forces - Afghanistan take seriously any and all potential misconduct . . .
