SHARANA (Pajhwok): Two people, including a government servant, were killed in an airstrike in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Wednesday.
Qazi Zabtullah, head of the provincial Haj and Religious Affairs Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the airstrike killed one of their employees Zabihullah in the airstrike.
“He was going home from office yesterday evening when came under attack in Sardai locality of Sharana,” he said.
Noorullah, a resident of the locality, said: “Zabihullah was riding a motorcycle when came under attack and was killed.”
Police spokesman Shah Mahmood Aryan confirmed two people, including the Haj Department employee, were killed in the airstrike.
Zabihullah was the son of a former Paktia governor, Mohammad Ali Hilali.
