3 of a family killed in Herat roadside bombing

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Three members of a family were killed as a result of a roadside bombing in the Guzra district of western Herat province on Saturday, an official said.

Jilani Farhad, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place when a car struck a roadside bomb in the Kort area of the district in the morning.

He said three members of the same family -- aged between 20 and 24 were killed in the bombing. He blamed Taliban for planting the bomb, but the group has so far said nothing in this regard.
