PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): A veteran Pakistani nationalist leader has underlined the need for action against all insurgent groups to banish terrorism from the country.
The Awami National Party (ANP) president also warned that Pakistan could become Somalia if demands of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) were not met.
Asfandyar Wali Khan, in a statement issued here on Wednesday, voiced his grave concern over Pakistan’s inclusion in the US list of countries violating religious freedoms.
He alleged proscribed militant groups had still been operating in te country under different names. National institutions had complete information about such organisations, hr insisted.
