KABUL and Pakistani Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa agreed on the importance of a political solution to the Afghan conflict – now in its 18th year, a media report said on Thursday.
Commander Resolute Support Mission General Austin Scott Miller and the army chief also reaffirmed continuing counter-terror operations and efforts against terrorist elements and to ensure effective border management, the Pakistani media said, quoting the army’s media wing, ISPR, as reporting.
General Bajwa also stated that Pakistan was committed to efforts for peace in Afghanistan as it was important for peace in Pakistan.
