7 Taliban, 2 ANA soldiers killed in Badghis clashes

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): At least seven Taliban militants and two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed during clashes in Bala Murghab and Muqor districts of northwestern Badghis province, a public representative said on Thursday.

Abdul Aziz Bek, the Provincial Council chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants stormed on security check-posts late Wednesday night, triggering a clash that left seven and two ANA soldiers dead and five militants and as many soldiers wounded.

However, ANA 27th Zafar Military Corps spokesman Abdul Qadir told Pajhwok that two policemen were killed in Maqor and as many ANA soldiers in Bala Murghab district.

The Taliban have not yet commented about the incidents.
