MoI names 222 alleged criminals in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior has released the list of 222 alleged criminals in capital Kabul and said the names of powerful individuals’ semi-governmental mafia and politicians who disturbed the security situation would be disclosed as well.

The list which was released on Sunday evening included the name, father name, temporary, permanent residence the type of crime and the location of their activities.

Armed robbery and kidnapping placed at the top of the list.

According to the list, of every 11 accused criminals seven belonged to Kabul, Panjshir, Parwan, Wardak and Laghman provinces.

Of the remaining 77 accused the residential place of 60 could not be identified.

Three alleged criminal each belonged to Tarakhel and the Qarabagh, Mirbachakot districts of Kabul, two hailed from Logar, one each from Paktia, Khost, Ghazni, Kandahar, Helmand and the Kalakan district of Kabul.

Najib Danish, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, said five more criminals had been identified with the support of the people and arrested, two others surrendered to police. He did not revealed the identity of these seven alleged criminals.

After the release of the list, he said, one criminal surrendered to police in the presence of his mother.

He added the arrested persons was ready to support police in the detention of the complete gang.

Danish said the list of semi-government mafia group, powerful individuals and politicians who by using government resources got involved in disorder and insecurity would be released as well.

Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman of the MoI said the ministry would provide moral and financial support to individual who support them in identifying the criminals in the list.
