KABUL (Pajhwok): An Afghan asylum-seeker has surrendered to police after stabbing a pregnant woman Germany’s west city of Bad Kreuznach.
The refugee attacked the 25-year-old woman at a hospital, Sputnik quoted police as saying on Saturday. The woman, a Polish national, was repeatedly stabbed after a violent argument.
Having suffered grievous injuries, the woman had to undergo emergency surgery. She is said to be out of danger, but her unborn baby died due as a result of the attack.
Links between the victim and the attacker, as well as the motives behind the incident are yet to be ascertained. The attacker surrendered to police at a train station shortly after fleeing the scene.
