SHARANA (Pajhwok): A newly-wed couple died of gas suffocation inside the bride’s home in the Yousafkhel district of southeastern Paktika province, the family said on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Tuesday night, a relative of the family, Akbar Shah, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He said the couple, who recently tied the knot, had arrived at the bride’s home after the marriage.
Mohammad Yasin, a resident of Mashkhelo village where the couple died, said the bride was 18 years old and the groom 19.
Local officials have so far said nothing . . .
