KABUL to the negotiating table with the Kabul government.
Sayed Ehsan Taheri, HPC spokesman, told reporters in Kabul that Daudzai, also president’s special representative on regional consensus, would leave Kabul for China for a three-day trip Wednesday.
He said Daudzai’s first trip to Pakistan changed the views of all sides in that country about peace, Islamabad needed to remain committed to its promises.
During his China’s trip, Daudzai would meet the country’s foreign minister, China’s special representative in Afghanistan and other government and political representatives for talks on strengthening regional consensus for Afghanistan peace process, he added.
“This trip has two agendas, the first one is that China as an economic and military power should support the regional consensus on Afghan peace and the second is we want China to press Pakistan to prepare Taliban for peace,” Taheri said.
He added China and Pakistan enjoyed friendly relations, a reason China could play an important role in the area.
