Bomber dies in botched attack on Kabul mosque

KABUL in central capital Kabul on Wednesday evening, wounding one person, police said.

Kabul police spokesman Abdul Basir Mujahid told Pajhwok Afghan Mews the attacker wanted to enter the Ayub Sabiri Masjid in Kampani area on the Sarak-i-Chilmetra that falls in the limits of the 5^th police district of Kabul City.

But the attacker was identified and he detonated explosives strapped to his body in haste, killing himself and wounding one person, he said.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the incident.
