KABUL, reports an international media outlet
Talks between the two sides -- having reached draft pact on ending the war -- were tentatively set for Feb. 25, Reuters quoted a Qatari foreign ministry official as saying.
“Both parties agreed tentatively to reconvene on February 25,” the unnamed Qatari official said. Under the draft deal, US troops would quit Afghanistan within 18 months of the agreement being inked.
The militant outfit is said to assured the Americans that Afghanistan would not be allowed to be used again by foreign fighters to attack the United States and its allies.
