Bombers among 13 Taliban killed in Kandahar blitz

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): More than a dozen Taliban militants have been killed, including two suicide bombers, in a foreign forces airstrike in Shah Walikot district of southern Kandahar province, an official said on Sunday.

Aziz Ahmad Azizi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the airstrike targeted a group of militants in Wachbakhto locality late Saturday night.

Security forces and civilians suffered no causalities in the nighttime attack, he concluded.

The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
