MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Police have arrested two women accused of aiding the kidnapping of a two-month-old baby boy in northwestern Faryab province, officials said Wednesday.
Faryab police spokesman Abdul Karim Yurish told Pajhwok Afghan News that three women deceived a mother and kidnapped her baby from the third police district of Maimana, the provincial capital, on Tuesday.
He said police detained two of the women who had confessed to their crime, but the third woman, who carried away the baby, remained at large.
