KABUL (Pajhwok): Amnesty International (AI) has called for a comprehensive probe into the killing of two journalists in northern Takhar province.
The journalists -- Shafiq Aria and Rahimullah Rahmani -- were shot dead by gunmen inside the studios of Radio Hamsada in Taloqan on Tuesday.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Provincial authorities say an investigation into the shooting is underway.
In a statement, Amnesty International’s South Asia Researcher Zaman Sultani asked the Afghan authorities to ensure thorough investigations.
