PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): The Salang Highway, linking Kabul, was reopened for traffic on Friday, an official said.
Eng. Abdul Basir Habibi, the highway maintenance commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News the busy mountainous route was reopened at 11am.
The highway had been closed for five days due to heavy snowfall and storm in the northern part of the tunnel.
