SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Children from northern Jawzjan province, through a painting competition, have highlighted the need for an end to the conflict and establishment of lasting peace.
More than 20 children took part in the contest -- One Smile, One Voice for Peace -- was launched by the Social Institute in Shiberghan. Three children, whose drawings depicted peace messages, were granted awards.
Saba, who participated in the competition, told Pajhwok Afghan News they wanted to give the message of love and peace through their paintings. She urged the warring parties to give peace a fair chance.
