HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Three men have been sentenced from one to two years in jail over killing two bank guards and looting 24 million afghanis in western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.
A few months back armed robbers attacked a private bank vehicle, killing two guards and looting 24 million afghanis in Herat city, the provincial capital.
Five people had been arrested in connection with the case, but two persons were released in the initial investigation.
Mohammad Shoib Ibrahimi, the provincial court chief, told at an open trial that one of the accused was sentenced to two years in jail and the two others one year each.
