2 of a family killed, 3 injured in Nangarhar roof cave-in

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A mother and her eight months old daughter were killed and three others injured on Monday when the roof of a house collapsed in Jalalabad, an official said.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that following incessant rains, the roof caved in in Ghochko locality in the 7^th police district early in the morning.

He said a mother and her eight months old daughter were killed and three other children injured in the incident. The injured were taken to hospital, Khogyani concluded.

Meanwhile, resident Syed Mohammad told Pajhwok the tragedy struck a poor family living in a tottering home.
