Taliban encourage parents to send children to school

KABUL militants in a message on the occasion of new academic year have asked people to enroll their children in schools.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, in a statement issued on Monday assured people that the new academic year would be ‘a productive year’ in terms of education for them.

He said the Taliban held many educational seminars last month on finding solutions to problems plaguing the education process. He said students in the new year would feel more ease with their studies.

The group asked school principals, teachers and all educational workers to honestly play their role in providing education to students in the new academic year.

The rebels voiced on parents to send their children both to schools and religious seminaries so they get education at both levels.
