Kabul, Colombo mull signing prisoner-swap agreement

KABUL (Pajhwok): Kabul and Colombo are mulling over entering a prisoner-exchange agreement benefitting both countries, a media report says.

Afghan Ambassador Ashraf Haidari and Sri Lankan Minister of Justice Thalatha Athukorale discussed the idea at a meeting on Thursday

The ambassador lauded Sri Lanka’s treatment of Afghan prisoners, according to a Colombo-based news website.

The officials held preliminary discussions on signing an agreement on a prisoner exchange between the two countries.
